Evaluation of agricultural telematics data to improve business processes and optimize agricultural logistics
The project TeleAgro+: “Evaluation of agricultural telematics data to improve business processes and optimize agricultural logistics” refines data retrieved from an agricultural telematics system. Computing the telematics data using up-to-date methods and innovative Data Mining algorithms we derive new or improved road data to refine existing crowd sourced geographic datasets (i.e. OpenStreetMap). Beyond the public available road data it is also a project target to generate agricultural specific geodata such as field borders and connection points (road network to agricultural fields). To show the benefit of such sensor based crowd sourced data mapping, a test case “Route planning for agricultural vehicles” is planned. This will show the abilities to optimize agricultural logistics by using improved geographic data sets. To check the developed algorithms and services in field there will be an application on a mobile device with an adapted user interface. Using this new datasets refined by the new investigated algorithms farmers and further members of the agricultural logistic chain are able to improve business processes and logistics.
