Thomas Schuch has worked as a scientific employee at the Chair of Economic and Social Geography of the Department of Geography in Heidelberg since 2008. He studied Geography with the subsidiary subjects Sociology and Political Sciences at the universities of Mannheim, Stockholm and Heidelberg. He wrote his master’s thesis on the topic: „Stagnation or upgrading? Socio-economic, functional, structural and symbolic change in the Wrangelkiez (Berlin-Kreuzberg)“.
