Tutor Programs

The institute of Geography offers several tutorials in cooperation with the Central Study Advisory and Career Service. The tutorials mainly focus on students in lower semesters to introduce them to key methods of successful and independent studies. The methods are defined in the Heidelberger Modell. This integrative model aims to improve teaching and studying at Heidelberg University. The facilitation and development teaching structure in close cooperation with the various departments, constitutes the core of this model. This includes didactic training and consulting for our teachers, as well as promotion of key competencies.

The tutorials of the Institute of Geography incorporate the following six courses:

The various tutorials are taught by advanced or graduated students. The tutors have undergone several training programs in didactic, group leadership, moderation, as well as an introduction to the concepts and methods of the Heidelberger Modell.
