Geographie Nordamerikas & Stadtgeographie ZENTROPY MICE

Since June 2026, the Urban Geography Working Group has been part of the ZENTROPY MICE project under the European Urban Initiative. The project is being developed and implemented by four European cities. The main project is based in Valencia, Spain. The cities of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Larissa (Greece), and Heidelberg (Germany) serve as transfer partners. The Urban Geography Working Group provides academic support for the Heidelberg project and examines the contribution of MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) to sustainable urban development, using Heidelberg’s Bahnstadt as a case study.
