  • OpenStreetMap and osmlanduse.org
  • climate change adaption
  • remote sensing time series
  • machiene learning

I explore the potential of human machine systems to promote the quality of information. For this purpose remote sensing and other data sources are organized as feature spaces for machine learning. Prior knowledge harvested from citizen observations and OpenStreetMap is injected into such feature spaces to solve classification problems.

I work closely with application experts across academia and industry to promote efficient and solution driven science. Within the H2020 LandSense project I work on quality estimation of citizen observatories, research on osmlanduse.org. As an adaptable team player I emit and gain knowledge trough seminars, publications and supervision.
