Flagship 1 “Urban Health and Demographic Change” / 4EU+ Alliance
The 4EU+ Alliance brings together seven comprehensive, research-intensive, public universities to create new ways of collaboration in teaching, education, research and administration: Charles, Heidelberg and Sorbonne Universities, and the Universities of Copenhagen, Geneva, Milan and Warsaw.
The joint research and teaching within the framework of 4EU+ follows four thematic priorities:
- Flagship 1: Urban Health and Demographic Change
- Flagship 2: Europeanness: multilingualism, pluralities, citizenship
- Flagship 3: Digitisation – Modelling – Transformation
- Flagship 4: Environmental transitions
Flagship 1 “Urban Health and Demographic Change” focuses on health and well-being of its citizens, prolonging their active and productive life. To provide healthy urban environments for many citizens, medical, environmental and social scientists are united under the flagship in order to come up with ideas and outputs to maximise societal impact. From Heidelberg University, it is co-coordinated by Prof Ulrike Gerhard and Dr Editha Marquardt.
