The Real-world Lab Urban Office – Sustainable Urban Development in the Knowledge Society
in Heidelberg is reacting to the growing significance
of cities in the process of the transformation to the knowledge society - by initiating, fostering and researching open inter- and transdisciplinary sustain
able processes of urban development and by reflecting critical research questions relevant for society. Therefore, different organizational networks, communication structures and activities of inter- and transdisciplinary knowledge production and transfer were conceptualized and implemented.
