Wenyu Zhao is a scientific guest from the College of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University (China). In our group she will jointly realize a project entitled: " Retrieval of snow depth in the Northern Hemisphere by calibrated passive microwave daily EASE-Grid 2.0 brightness temperature ESDR (CETB)". In her home institution, Wenyu’s research is focused on the spatial variabilities of snow densities over the Northern Hemisphere. A comprehensive awareness of the spatio-temporal distribution of snow density is critical for estimation of SWE and the validation of hydrological and climate models that include snow component.
