Nowadays, geographers can be found in various positions. Among these are urban-, regional-, traffic-, and tourism planning, development cooperation, real estate management, location- and market research, and business development, as well as in the fields of geographical-, and/or geoscientific area studies, laboratory research or assessment, landscape- and environment planning, geoinformation processing, press and publicity relations, journalism, publishing, environmental education, or higher education.
