Mailing List of the Institute of Geography
Our mailing list (GEOGSTUD
) distributes all information on changes in offices hours, lecture announcements, upcoming excursions, free spots in seminars, and much more. All students at the Institute of Geography are advised to subscribe.
All students in our Master’s Program are further advised to subscribe to the mailing list Infoverteiler Master
(GEOG-MA
) which informs about additional events and advising for Master’s students.
Unfortunately, the news are currently only available in German.
Subscribe
Subscription is only possible via your student e-mail address. In order to sign up, you have to send an e-mail to listserv@listserv.uni-heidelberg.de from your University of Heidelberg e-mail account. The text (NOT the subject line) has to be the following:
subscribe GEOGSTUD first name
surname
(leave out inverted commas in actual mail)
For the Master mailing list please send:
subscribe GEOG-MA first name
surname
(again, please no inverted commas in actual mail)
Example: Subscribe GEOGSTUD John Smith or subscribe GEOG-MA Jane Smith.
After sending this e-mail, you will receive a return e-mail (Command confirmation request
) which contains a link. Please click on this link in order to validate your e-mail address. If you do not click on this link within 48 hours, your request will be cancelled. After clicking the link, you will receive a final confirmation that you have successfully subscribed to the mailing list (You are now subscribed to the GEOGSTUD/GEOG-MA list
).
If you wish to forward the mailing list e-mails to your private e-mail account, you can do so by logging into your University of Heidelberg mail account, going to Mein Konto
and then to Weiterleitung
. Then type in your private e-mail address.
Unsubscribe
In order to unsubscribe from the mailing list, send an e-mail from your University of Heidelberg e-mail account to listserv@listserv.uni-heidelberg.de. The content (NOT the subject line) has to be the following:
signoff GEOGSTUD
Or, for the Master mailing list:
signoff GEOG-MA
After sending this e-mail you will receive a confirmation (You have been removed from the GEOGSTUD/GEOG-MA list
).
