Cátedra de Geografía Económica y Social
El Departamento de Geografía Económica y Social centra sus investigaciones en el desarrollo de las economías globales y regionales. El grupo de trabajo focaliza sus proyectos de investigación en la Geografía de los Servicios, la Geografía del Conocimiento, Organizaciones y Redes Sociales [más información].
Los académicos del Departamento imparten diversos cursos para los grados de Licenciatura y Master. La enseñanza entregada en las clases y los seminarios abarca los campos de Geografía Económica, teorías de organizaciones, globalización económica, así como métodos cualitativos y cuantitativos en las investigaciones sociales empíricas y el análisis regional, con énfasis en los métodos de análisis de las redes sociales.
El Departamento en conjunto con la Universidad de Toronto publican la serie SPACES online, en la que periódicamente son presentados papers de trabajo de las investigaciones en marcha, tanto de estudiantes graduados como de académicos para su discusión.
