Alireza Aboutalebi Adergani Werdegang
Alireza Aboutalebi Adergani is a doctoral researcher at Heidelberg University within the C-NEWTRAL Doctoral Network. His research focuses on the governance and justice dimensions of the transition toward electric mobility, with particular attention to how policy decisions and infrastructure planning shape the deployment of charging infrastructure in cities.
He completed his Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Policy Design at Politecnico di Milano. His master’s thesis, “The Digital Transformation of Policymaking: The Promises of Digital Twin,” examined how digital technologies can influence planning processes and policy decision-making in urban governance.
Before starting his doctoral research, he worked at the Municipality of Isfahan, where he gained experience with urban policy and municipal planning practices. He also completed a research internship at ifeu – Institute for Energy and Environmental Research Heidelberg, contributing to projects related to transport decarbonisation and infrastructure analysis.
His current doctoral work combines conceptual approaches from mobility justice and sustainability transitions with empirical research on electric mobility infrastructure and governance processes in European cities.
