Steffen Knoblauch Werdegang

Steffen Knoblauch is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at the Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing at Heidelberg University, and a Research Scientist at the Heidelberg Institute for Geoinformation Technology. He also serves as a consultant for the World Bank’s Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR). Steffen holds a Dr. rer. nat. in Geoinformatics from Heidelberg University, as well as M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Industrial Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. His primary research focuses on the application of AI for equitable climate action and disaster resilience. Additionally, he conducts research using network science to analyze inequalities in access to opportunities and investigate challenges related to planetary health.
