MILAN – My stay abroad with 4EU+

My experience in Milan with the 4EU+ program was influenced by the people around me. Despite initial challenges, the kindness of my teachers and classmates made my stay truly memorable. Their support and openness made the difficulties seem manageable and is what made me wish I could have stayed forever. Aside from great food, awesome weather and nice people, I have also received insights into a different study program (Environmental and Food Economics). Although the classes were difficult, my main take-away is a new point of view on my own study program. It also provided insights into how other students, researchers and Universities lead classes and conduct research.

What stood out the most was the opportunity to engage with people from different cultural and academic backgrounds. Interacting with people outside my social circle showed me many different views on my subject, the world and politics. As I was surrounded by international students, I have learned surprisingly much about their language, food and culture. Which, I believe, I will benefit from for years to come.
